The Peacocks battled back from trailing at the break to claim a hard-earned 1-1 draw at Maidstone United this afternoon.

Neither side were able to gain the upper hand until the Stones broke the deadlock after 38 minutes when a long ball reached Levi Amantchi who spun past Nick Grimes to slot beyond Dan Lavercombe from 10 yards. The second half saw Town have plenty of possession although clear chances were at a premium before the game swung six minutes from time when Razzaq Coleman De Graft received a straight red card for the hosts after a challenge on Ollie Chamberlain out on the left and from Lloyd James free kick the ball reached Nick Grimes who slotted home from close range for his second goal in as many games.
