Another superb performance on the road saw the Peacocks end their Vanarama National League South season with a 2-1 victory at Chelmsford City this afternoon.
Town made an ideal start with a goal after 10 minutes, Lee Lucas feeding Zac Smith on the left and his chip to the far post was headed home by Dave Sims-Burgess. Lucas then made it 2-0 four minutes into the second half, firing home an exquisite free kick from 25 yards after Ollie Chamberlain had been brought down. City got themselves back in it on 69 minutes when the Peacocks conceded a penalty which Arjanit Krasniqi steered home but the visitors stood firm against further pressure from the play-off participants to claim the points and provide a great end to the campaign.
