Taunton Town Football Club is deeply saddened to have learnt of the sudden passing of longstanding volunteer Mike Byrne.
Mike who is affectionately known by everyone as ‘Chopper’, held a variety of roles at the Viridor Stadium and would travel up and down the country following the Peacocks.
His passion and devotion to the club was unquestionable and at just 34 years old was taken far too soon.
Chopper will be sorely missed and we send our heartfelt condolences to his family at this devastating time.
We dedicate today’s victory over Walton Casuals in Mike’s memory and will pay our tribute to him at our next home match on 23rd February.
Rest in peace Chops. Forever in our hearts.
