The Peacocks endured a frustrating day at the office as their ten game unbeaten run in the Vanarama National League South stuttered to an end with a 1-0 defeat to Hampton & Richmond Borough at Wordsworth Drive this afternoon.

The visitors grabbed what proved to be the all-important goal in just the second minute of the game, with the hosts caught asleep at the back, Hampton skipper Jake Gray cutting the ball across for Mason Bloomfield to slot home. Despite having the vast majority of possession, Town were unable to get back on terms during the rest of the game as Hampton held firm in defence.
