An eventful final 20 minutes saw the Peacocks fight back twice to force a 2-2 draw against Aveley in the Vanarama National League South at Wordsworth Drive this afternoon. Neither side really threatened in a goalless first half before the deadlock was finally broken on 71 minutes when Jason Ring’s header back across the box was steered in by Manny Ogunrinde on the far post. Town replied within two minutes, Rabby Tabu Minzamba heading home from a Lloyd James corner, only for the visitors to regain the lead on 77 minutes when Razzaq Coleman De-Graft was pulled down by Zac Bell and Siju Odelusi converted the penalty. The hosts hit back again to draw level three minutes later, Zac Smith clipping a ball in for Ollie Chamberlain to nod goalwards and Millers’ skipper Harry Gibbs helped it over the line to leave it all square at the final whistle.
