It’s only five days to the Peacocks’ opening home pre-season friendly when we host Exeter City on Tuesday 13th July, ko 7.30pm.

It’s sure to be an exciting night with supporters back in the ground for the first time in eight months and there is one change that fans will need to be aware of. The evening will see our Club SHOP opening for the first time in their new premises in the former Club Office. For those who are still unfamiliar with where that is, the shop is now located on the northern side of the ground in the Brian Pollard Suite, the building to the left of the clubhouse. The former shop premises in the portacabin have now been converted into the Club Office.

Club Shop Manager Lee Derrick commented:” I am over the moon that we have moved the SHOP into bigger premises. Year on year we have seen an increase in sales and this move will help us not only to continue our growth as a shop, but also enable our supporters to have a much better shopping experience. We now have more space to browse, more of our shirts and merchandise are now easier to locate and customers will be able to shop more freely. I look forward to seeing our fans back at the ground and am so happy that we can play our part in making their visit to Taunton Town FC an enjoyable day or evening out.”

Please pop into the new Club SHOP next Tuesday or on your next visit to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium to view and purchase the ever-expanding range of club merchandise. Sales have been very healthy over the past few months and not just to the local fan base. The popularity of the Peacocks now stretches worldwide with shirt sales going international, as reported on the club’s social media channels in recent weeks. Lee continued:” It’s been a busy close season in the Taunton Town FC Club Shop. The past few months have seen increased sales of our home shirt overseas in countries including Japan, Australia, and USA. Our Japan contact Ben Mabley has continued championing the Taunton Town FC name and subsequently we have seen a huge growth in sales. I cannot thank Ben enough for his support and am thrilled that we have a new fan base supporting us from afar. Our Club Shop Twitter page has seen a surge in followers, and we now have over 630 following us which is amazing.” Pictured below are two of our international fans proudly displaying their shirt along with another photo of the new shop.
