Tonight’s scheduled pre-season friendly at Chippenham Town was unfortunately called off earlier today after a positive Covid test in the Peacocks squad. Chairman Kevin Sturmey commented:” In the interests of the safety of players, management, and match and club officials, and the uncertainty as to how many of our squad may be affected, we felt it appropriate to ensure we do our utmost to contain and prevent the spreading of the virus in the circumstances. We apologise to all concerned but safety has to come first.”
