We are delighted to confirm that Will Buse is staying with the Peacocks on loan for the 2022-23 season. The young goalkeeper joined the club on loan from Bristol City in September 2021 and played an important part in helping the team secure the Southern Premier title, leading to him signing a new one year contract with City last month. With Lloyd Irish also back at the club, the goalkeeping department is looking decidedly healthy!
Will said:” I’m happy to be back. I really enjoyed my time with the club last season and now it’s another new challenge in the National League and one I’m really looking forward to. We have the experience and talent in the squad to compete at the next level so I’m hoping for another successful season.”
Head of Football Rob Dray added:” Watching Busey literally grow and develop last season was great to see and he was a huge reason we did so well. For someone so young he was superb and I’m sure he will progress further in the National League. Many thanks to Meaks and Bristol City for getting this over the line.”
