As the Peacocks’ squad for 2021/22 continues to take shape, we are delighted to report that centre half Ben Adelsbury is the latest player to agree terms to stay at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium.

Ben told tauntontown.com:” I’m delighted to extend my stay at TTFC. I’ve enjoyed playing for this club over the last four seasons and long may it continue. A special mention to everyone at the club who works tirelessly to enable the stadium and pitch to remain in impeccable condition. In our very brief season last year we did show some special moments, and this combined with a desire to get back playing football only excites everyone for next season. UTP”

This will be Adelsbury’s fifth season with the club, having signed from Truro City in the summer of 2017 following previous experience at Salisbury City, Eastbourne Borough and Bath City. He has since become a mainstay in the middle of the defence, making 122 full and 8 substitute appearances while finding the net on 13 occasions.

Head of Football Rob Dray added:” Benno has been the consummate pro since joining us. He is an outstanding centre back who will undoubtedly make another massive contribution this year.”
