We are very pleased to confirm our seventh player for the new season with the news that Jamie Price has committed to the club.

To date Toby Holmes, Gethyn Hill, Lee Lucas, and Aaron Bentley have all joined the Peacocks while Lloyd Irish and Ben Adelsbury will remain from last season, with defender Price also now agreeing terms to stay at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium. He is in his fourth spell at the club, having made his debut as far back as January 2005, and has acquired a wealth of experience playing for the likes of Bridgwater Town, Weston-super-Mare and Tiverton Town until returning to the Peacocks last summer. He has notched up 224 full and 9 sub appearances for Town and scored 20 goals.

Head of Football Rob Dray remarked:” It’s always great to get a player of Jamie’s stature on and off the pitch secured for another season as his influence has been and continues to be superb. This coming year first and foremost Jamie will be a player, but he has also made a slight step into management and will assist the rest of the management team with anything player related. He can only do this because of the respect for him from the players and myself and already he has been invaluable in our recruitment in pre-season.”

Price told tauntontown.com:” It’s great to sign for my hometown club again and try and improve on last year. The signings we have made have really put the bit between my teeth and I can’t wait for the season to start. With my new role I’m looking forward to doing whatever I can for Rob as we go forward within the management group.”

Glad to keep you on board Jamie!
