The Peacocks had to settle for another point following a 1-1 BetVictor Southern League draw at Metropolitan Police yesterday afternoon (28th September).

It was Town’s fourth League draw in succession as they were again forced to rue several missed chances. A goalless first half saw both sides have several opportunities without troubling either keeper before the deadlock was broken after 57 minutes when Andrew Neal put Town ahead, heading home on the far post after Ed Palmer had glanced on Ryan Brett’s corner. The home side levelled after 73 minutes following a break down the left which culminated in Bilal Sayoud sweeping a shot into the corner of the net from the centre of the box. Sayoud and Neal both came close to snatching a winner for either side but saw shots blocked on the line as Town made it only one defeat from their last ten competitive matches.
