We are delighted to welcome Evander Grubb to the club who has signed after trialling during pre-season. He scored on his first appearance in a Peacocks’ shirt when he notched the third goal in the friendly win at Clevedon Town and has now joined the Town squad wearing number 32 but will remain dual registered with his current club, Southern League Bristol Manor Farm.

Evander said: “I’m really pleased to have signed for Taunton, all the boys have made me feel really welcome and a part of the team. Rob and all the coaching staff have already helped me so much and I can’t wait to learn more off them and the players to help the team progress this season.”

The 19 year old attacking wide player has spent time with both Bristol Rovers and Newport County as a youth player before joining Manor Farm for an initial spell, during which time he became the youngest goalscorer in FA Cup history at the age of 16 years and 54 days when he netted twice in September 2020. A move soon followed up country for a scholarship at Huddersfield Town where he featured for the Under 17’s and Under 19’s before returning to the Bristol club on loan.

Head of Football Rob Dray commented:” Evander came in as a trialist and did really well. At this stage he will benefit from playing every week for Bristol Manor Farm, I’ve had a good chat with Lee there and he’s in good hands at a super club. We will monitor his development closely over the coming weeks as he is definitely a player who has the ability to do well at our level.”
