An equaliser four minutes into stoppage time deprived the Peacocks of victory as they were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw at Poole Town yesterday evening (14th September).
It was an ideal start from the Peacocks who took the lead after just six minutes when Gethyn Hill converted a Toby Holmes centre before Ollie Chamberlain steered home Hill’s pass off the post to double the tally four minutes later. Tony Lee glanced home a corner on 35 minutes to pull one back for Poole who were reduced to ten men in the second half when Will Spetch received a second yellow card. The points appeared to be heading westwards until a late corner ricocheted to Lee who salvaged a point for the hosts.
