The Peacocks play their first home pre-season friendly tomorrow evening (14th July) when they welcome Willand Rovers, ko 7.45pm.
It’s two wins out of two so far for Town as they prepare for the Vanarama National League curtain raiser against Braintree Town on 5th August, with last Friday’s 3-0 win at Clevedon being followed by a single goal victory at Cribbs FC on Tuesday evening. The meeting with Southern League Division One South Willand promises to be the toughest warm-up game to date, with Rovers travelling to Wordsworth Drive fresh from their 2-1 victory over neighbours Tiverton Town on Tuesday. Prior to that they had played two other friendlies which resulted in a goalless draw with Gillingham Town and a 4-0 reverse to Plymouth Parkway.
After not featuring during the Cribbs game, Lloyd James and Ross Stearn are in line for a run out but Joe Guest is still away. There will also be a number of trialists again for Rob Dray and the management team to evaluate.
