The Peacocks play their second friendly of pre-season when they travel to Cribbs FC tomorrow evening (11th July), ko 7.45pm.
Town began their warm-up programme with a 3-0 win at Clevedon on Friday and tomorrow provides another opportunity to build up match fitness ahead of the new campaign which begins in just over four weeks’ time. The game will also allow Head of Football Rob Dray and his management team to continue to assess a number of trialists, eight of whom featured in the Clevedon match.
Cribbs are about to embark on a new adventure in the Southern League Division One South after securing promotion last season by winning the Hellenic League Premier Division, amassing 100 points in the process and with only two defeats from their 38 League fixtures. The game should pose a good test for the Peacocks then who include Dan Ball, Lloyd James and Dave Sims-Burgess, all of whom were away for the Clevedon match. New goalkeeper Dan Lavercombe is also in line to make his debut for the visitors.
