The Peacocks return to home soil in the BetVictor Southern League when they welcome Beaconsfield Town to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium tomorrow afternoon (7th December), kick-off 3.00pm.
The game with the Rams is the first of two successive Saturday home fixtures for Town who will be intent on securing another three points against the division’s bottom side. It’s now only one defeat from their last nine competitive fixtures for the Peacocks who will go into tomorrow’s match in good shape following their win at fellow promotion rivals Poole Town last weekend.
Beaconsfield head west having picked up just 10 points from their 17 league games to date. Their two victories both came in September, an away success at Harrow Borough quickly followed by a home win over Blackfield & Langley, these two games sandwiching an impressive victory against Hemel Hempstead in the Emirates FA Cup. Since then though their only win has come against Berkhamsted on penalties in the League Cup, their three most recent outings all being at home which led to draws with Swindon Supermarine and Yate Town before a single goal loss to leaders Truro City last Saturday.
Dan Sullivan returns to the squad after serving his one game suspension for the Poole game while Ollie Chamberlain is also named following a spell out through injury. There will also be the potential for home fans to see new loan signings Jake Jackson and Owen Windsor in action for the first time. Head of Football Rob Dray said:” Carrying on our belief from last week and keeping complacencies away are crucial for tomorrow. All our reports tell us their position belies their performances, but we are at it at the moment and will be a hard side to beat with home advantage.”
