Taunton Town will be looking to expand their unbeaten home run against Winchester City in a game which originally was scheduled for game week 19.
Taunton currently sit in 7th position after playing 29 matches and gaining 43 points with a positive goal difference of 7 whereas Winchester currently sit in 16th place after playing 30 matches and gaining 32 points with a goal difference of -17.
Last time out Taunton, drew to Frome Town at The Cygnet Health Care stadium last Tuesday.
Due to a waterlogged pitch, there was no Saturday game for the Peacocks however, Winchester took the trip to Gloucester city suffering a 5-0 defeat.
Richard Luffman, who spoke to the clubs media stated;
“It’s a really important fixture for us, with a really tough run of games coming after it.
We’re playing against a team that is very good in transition and keep the ball well. Craig’s done a brilliant job in his tenure at the club.
This fixture is extra important for me as it’s against my old chairman, kit man, and goalie coach.
We’re just concentrating on what’s going to be really difficult fixture against a tough opponent. We trained yesterday evening, and we are looking forward to playing in front of what will hopefully be a decent crowd tonight. Obviously, the attendances on a Tuesday, haven’t been that big as on a Saturday, hopefully with the half term there will be a lot of families out to support amongst the usual Tuesday night regulars, but we need everyone behind us so that we can try and close the gap on the six teams in front of us.”
