Karl is in his second spell with the club, having returned in the summer of 2022. Well known in local footballing circles, he was formerly at the club in a range of roles, being appointed Under 18’s manager in 2014 before becoming Head of Youth Development and progressing to the first team domain as kit man and assistant coach. He left the club in the autumn of 2016, going on to manage local Somerset County League side Staplegrove for a season. He then linked up with former Taunton manager Leigh Robinson at Truro City in 2018 where he took on coaching and kitman roles before joining Dorchester Town in January 2020 as kitman and physio. He came back on board at Wordsworth Drive as kit manager and back-up physio and has since been appointed as Football Operations Manager in June 2023.
