With the addition of Ollie Woodhouse to the squad ahead of the 2024–25 campaign, the Peacocks’ squad is getting stronger, as manager Richard Luffman puts together a whole new team to take on the Southern League Premier, the defender is the twelfth new face in the Town ranks.

A South East native, Ollie started his career with Essex side Great Wakering Rovers, with whom he made over 150 appearances, before relocating to Bristol. The towering center-half went on to Hellenic League side join Roman St. Glass George in the summer of 2020, whilst with the Bristol-based side he made 100 appearances and went on to be named Supporters Player of the Season in the 22/23 season. Ollie then made the step up to Southern League Division One South football, joining Bristol Manor Farm, where in his debut campaign he was named their Supporters Player of the Season and was nominated for the Division One South Team of the Season.

Ollie discussed his decision to join the Peacocks with us, saying: ”When Luffers approached me I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. Taunton is a big club with a passionate fan base. I’m looking forward to testing myself at this level and can’t wait to get started.”

Town boss Luffman added: ”Ollie is a tremendous player, heart on his sleeve, no-nonsense and very quick. We’ve based our recruitment around hungry lads with ability to step up to play alongside some proper players already at the level. Ollie is the former, he’s in his mid-20s and someone who I know will go on and be a terrific player for the level. We’ve already signed two brilliant defenders in Down & Crouch. We’ve now got a third and all three will push each other to even better levels.”
