We welcome Ethan Vaughan to the club who becomes the 17th new addition to the Peacocks ranks in the past few weeks.
The Welsh defender who can operate at either right or left back will add further quality to Town’s backline, having become a member of Cardiff City’s Academy at the age of six and progressing into the club’s Under 18 team whilst also representing Wales at youth level. Following his departure from Cardiff he joined Solihull Moors in the summer of 2022, going on to spend two months on loan at Stourbridge during the latter part of the campaign, before joining Cymru Premier outfit Pontypridd United for the 2023-24 season.
Ethan told us:” I’m happy to have signed at a big club like Taunton and am really excited for the upcoming season in what will be a tough and competitive league but one I am thoroughly buzzing to play in. The club has great ambitions to get back into the National League where I think it definitely belongs. I am looking forward to contributing to the club’s success and playing in this team and can’t wait to showcase my quality in front of this great fan base. See you all soon. Up The Peacocks!”
Manager Richard Luffman had this to say about the latest addition to his brand new squad:” Ethan is someone with a fantastic pedigree, having played in the Welsh Premier League and the National League. He’s a two-footed defender with loads of potential to improve and become even better. A brilliant signing for the football club.”
