The Peacocks will be aiming to recover from two heavy defeats on the road when they welcome Bracknell Town to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium in the Southern League Premier South tomorrow afternoon (2nd November), ko 3.00pm.

A 5-1 reverse at AFC Totton was followed by the same scoreline at Gosport Borough in the FA Trophy last Saturday, rudely shattering Town’s recent vein of good form which had included a run of 11 undefeated games. All focus then will be on restoring confidence with a positive result against a Bracknell side sitting in 8th spot, four places and three points clear of Taunton who have a game in hand. The Berkshire side are on a good run themselves, unbeaten now in ten league fixtures with four wins and six draws registered since their only defeat of the season to date at Hanwell Town in August. The visiting Robins will therefore provide a stern challenge to the Peacocks’ unbeaten home record in all competitions this season.

The Peacocks’ squad will include new signings Josh Owers and Josh Gould while Jay Malshanskyj returns after being cup tied for the Gosport game and it is hoped Owen Brain will also be fit to return. Peacocks manager Richard Luffman commented:” Results have fallen short of what we expect in the past two games and we will be looking to put that right tomorrow although Bracknell will pose a difficult test, having lost only one league game all season. It will be good to be back at home for the first time in three weeks so we hope there is a big crowd to come and get behind the lads.”
