Taunton Town Football Club is delighted to reveal the Peacocks’ full 2025–26 fixture schedule.
The season begins on the road, as Manager Richard Luffman and his side travel to Havant & Waterlooville, before welcoming newly-promoted Yate Town to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium for their first home game of the new campaign. August concludes with a mouthwatering local derby against Tiverton Town.
The festive fixtures see the Peacocks welcome Gloucester City on December 27th, with a return trip to Tiverton Town taking place shortly after the New Year.
The 2025–26 campaign is set to conclude on Saturday 25th April, when Taunton Town host Evesham United on the final day.
Speaking to the Southern League website, Manager Richard Luffman shared his thoughts on the upcoming season:
“With the fixtures now out, the sense of anticipation really ramps up. It’s been a long pre-season already — and we’re only halfway through! No manager enjoys pre-season, but it’s necessary to prepare for the weekly battle for three points.
We’ve added some top players at this level, bringing more pace and power to an already talented group. We’ve introduced a new playing style during our pre-season games, and as of now, we’re five games unbeaten.
Things are looking positive, and now that the fixtures are out, we’re just ready to get stuck into the season.
I think Farnham Town, Bracknell Town, and Gloucester City will all expect to finish in the top five. Tom has put together a strong side at Dorchester Town, and they’ve made it clear they’re aiming to win the league — so I’d expect those four teams to be right up there.
But there are probably another ten clubs — ourselves included — who will believe they can compete with the leading pack. It’s shaping up to be a very competitive season.
Our aim is to improve on last season, be in the mix come April, and keep building on the positive momentum with our amazing supporters.”
