Former Taunton Town striker, Steve Murray, joins Richard Luffman’s backroom team as Assistant Manager.
Steve will be a familiar face for some of our fans, joining the club in 2013 under Leigh Robinson, Steve would go on to feature in 71 matches in Claret and Blue and would net an impressive 31 goals.
Prior to joining Richard Luffman’s team, Steve demonstrated his managerial and coaching prowess as the interim manager at Cribbs F.C. In his interim spell, he was in charge for nine matches, securing four victories and three draws before missing out on promotion in the playoff semi-final.
Club Media caught up with Richard this morning after the appointment was finalised, and he shared his thoughts on Steve joining the Peacocks.
“I’m really pleased that Steve has agreed to join me at Taunton as my assistant manager, he’s an excellent addition to my team and will be a massive part of the club he has bags of energy and his knowledge of local football is on par with the very best. He also loves this football club more than any other in non league.”
Please join us in welcoming Steve back to Wordsworth Drive as he assumes the role of Assistant Manager at Taunton Town Football Club.
