Versatile Full-Back Matthew Spiller becomes the 15th new face to join Richard Luffman’s Taunton Town rebuild ahead of the 24/25 season.
Matt joins us from Cribbs F.C and becomes the 6th player to follow Richard Luffman over to Wordsworth Drive. Spiller had a successful career with Cribbs, operating on both flanks of the defence, becoming a Hellenic League Champion, a Hellenic League Cup winner and winning the Gloucestershire County League GFA Challenge Trophy in his 7-year spell, making 206 appearances for the club. He also managed to chip in with a respectable 17 goals during this period. Spiller started his career with Winterborne before moving to Longwell Green and also notes Southern League experience with Larkhall Athletic.
Club media caught up with Matt following the signing and he had this to say: “I’m buzzing to sign for the peacocks. Delighted to be here and can’t wait to get going. Up The Peacocks 🦚”
