With the Peacocks out of action until further notice, tauntontown.com caught up with our top scorer Andrew Neal following his recent knee operation.
Rocky told us:” Recovery is going exactly as planned, I’m very happy with the progress made and am following the physio’s advice and programme to get back soon. It’s been nice to get back out running this week, I’m slowly building up the intensity and distance and it feels stronger every day. With the current circumstances it’s given me a longer period for recovery which is nice, however I know everyone’s pulling their hair out and can’t wait for the football to be back!”
It had been hoped that Neal would be available for Town’s final month of the campaign in the last push to secure a Play-Off place, but any such thoughts have now been dismissed in light of the current Coronavirus outbreak. He continued: “Hopefully the season will resume, and I’d like to think by the time it does I will be in a position to make myself available for the team. The main thing at the minute however is that everyone is safe, and I hope that nobody has been drastically affected by these circumstances. Look after yourself Peacocks, let’s hope that we won’t be without football for too much longer and I’ll see you all again in no time.”
