The Peacocks are in Bank Holiday derby action tomorrow (26th August) when they travel to Frome Town in the Southern League Premier South, ko 3.00pm.
It’s a quick turnaround from yesterday’s draw with Sholing at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium which left Town with just two points from their opening four league fixtures so they will be determined to gain a positive result at their Somerset rivals who were promoted to the Southern Premier for this season. They made a great start to their campaign with a 1-0 win at Gosport before suffering two defeats at Badgers Hill to Merthyr and Bracknell but bounced back to secure a hard-earned point on the road at Chertsey yesterday, with their goal coming from former Peacock Marcus Day. Things couldn’t be tighter in the league table either, with the Robins sitting one place above Taunton in 17th position.
The Peacocks are expected to name an unchanged squad.
