The Peacocks make their second visit to Dorset in the space of four days when they travel to Dorchester Town in the Evo-Stik League tomorrow evening (16th October), kick-off 7.45pm.
However they will be hoping for a different outcome from Saturday’s trip to Poole when they were below par when going down to a 1-0 defeat and having another player sent off, their third from their last four games. The weekend setback saw Town drop down to fifth spot after ten fixtures, five points ahead of tomorrow’s opponents Dorchester who lie in 16th position. Their season has been rather up and down, with them having won only one league game at home from five attempts which came against Hartley Wintney at the beginning of September. The Magpies drew 1-1 with Walton Casuals at the Avenue Stadium on Saturday.
Captain Matt Wright has completed his three game ban and returns but Ryan Brett sits out the second of his three match suspension. The squad is otherwise unchanged with Pierce Mitchell who saw red at Poole eligible.
Rob Dray remarked: “It’s another different set of circumstances tomorrow as we play on an artificial surface. The ability to bounce back from a loss is a huge mental characteristic which we need to have tomorrow and take into the two cup games to follow.”
