Town make the journey to the league’s in-form side Chesham United tomorrow afternoon (30 Mar), 3pm.
The hosts have enjoyed a complete change of fortunes from when the two sides last met at the Viridor Stadium which saw Rob Dray’s side run out 3-0 winners. United were languishing in the relegation zone for the majority of the campaign but a run of just 1 defeat in 17 games ensures a difficult encounter for the Peacock’s visit.
Taunton appear to have regained their mojo following back to back victories over Poole Town and most recent a 2-1 win at Frome Town to book a place in the Somerset Premier Cup Final on 7th May.
New arrival Shane Krac and Bridgwater & Taunton College’s Noah Coppin are both included in the squad, however, Ed Palmer is unavailable for the trip.
Head of Football Rob Dray commented, “The last two wins need to be a springboard for the last few weeks of the season. Chesham will be a tough test and there second half season shows that. We have to grind another result out because that is what it’s all about when you’re fighting for a title. Unlike so many other teams in this league we are in the shakedown at we go into tomorrow feeling confident.”
Rocky Neal bagged a Hat-Trick back in September.
