After a run of 12 successive wins, it proved unlucky 13 for the Peacocks as they lost 3-2 at Harrow Borough this afternoon.
The defeat brings to an end a fantastic unbeaten sequence of 18 matches and was especially disappointing given the fact Town were 2-0 ahead at the break. Toby Holmes fired the visitors in front after 24 minutes and when Jake Wannell got on the end of a Lloyd James free kick to head home seven minutes later the Peacocks looked well set at the break. However Town failed to get going in the second half, with Harrow pulling a goal back on 51 minutes when Leo Donnellan’s cross appeared to go in off the far post. The hosts then levelled after 75 minutes when James Ewington netted off the post from a Shaun Preddie cross before they grabbed the winner with eight minutes left, Ewington heading in after Town had failed to clear a corner. The Peacocks will now look to bounce back at home to Yate Town on Tuesday evening.
