Congratulations to Royston Town who have won the Southern League Challenge Cup Final after beating a much-changed Peacocks side 5-0 in the 2nd leg this evening.
Royston, 2-0 up after the first leg, opened the scoring on 24 minutes when Brandon Adams latched onto a knockdown to fire past Connor Sidley-Adams. Matt Bateman headed in Ronnie Henry’s cross to double the lead after 42 minutes before the Crows added three more after the break. Devonte Aransibia scored twice, slotting in on 66 minutes after Spyros Mentis had returned the ball into the middle and then netting from James Brighton’s cross on 78 minutes before Tom Newman scored from a free kick seven minutes from time.
