We are delighted to announce the formation of a new partnership with esteemed local drinks producer Sheppy’s Cider. The new agreement will see Sheppy’s provide draught and bottled cider in the clubhouse at Wordsworth Drive and also display a number of advertising boards around the stadium.
Chairman Kevin Sturmey is thrilled that another local business has teamed up with the club as they continue to progress on and off the pitch. “We are delighted to partner with Sheppy’s Cider, the Number 1 Taunton Cider, as we strive to enhance our community partnerships,” he commented. “We have so much on our doorstep and it’s great to find mutual support locally to us. Sheppy’s Cider has been around for over 200 years, so they really know their stuff. I think anyone who has grown up in Taunton always loves cider, I’m sure it’s in our DNA!! There is so much more than just cider though and visiting them is a must as there really is something for everyone there. We look forward to a successful, prosperous and enhancing partnership for many years to come.”
There is a reference to Sheppy’s cider making as far back as 1816, since when the company have grown to become a flourishing business with various attractions available at their base near Bradford-on-Tone including a restaurant, a farm shop and tours of the orchards and cider making facilities.
David Sheppy, Managing Director at Sheppy’s Cider remarked:” We are passionate about supporting our local community and our partnership with Taunton Town FC is built on shared values with local life at the heart. We’re delighted that fans will now be able to enjoy a range of Sheppy’s Ciders on draught and bottles, including our hero 200 cider, as well as Original Cloudy, Blackberry & Elderflower and our Low Alcohol variety too. I speak for the entire Sheppy’s team when I say we are looking forward to supporting the team and raising a glass to the victories ahead.”
The return of draught to the clubhouse will be certain to satisfy popular demand but there are other developments in the pipeline. The Chairman continued: “We are currently talking to many suppliers and plan to add draught lager in the near future. We are always looking to forge trading partnerships in order to maximise product exposure and sales for everyone. There are many improvements planned over the next few months to complement what we believe is one of the best match day experiences in non-league.”
