The Peacocks are out of the Emirates FA Cup after being beaten 6-0 at MK Dons this afternoon.
The League One side were in control from start to finish, taking the lead after just six minutes when Dawson Devoy scored with a free kick. They doubled their advantage on 12 minutes, Will Grigg netting from Dan Harvie’s cross, as Town restricted the hosts to two at the break. However it only took three minutes of the second half for the Dons to make it 3-0 when Devoy’s pass found Darragh Burns to fire home before Peacocks’ keeper Jack Bycroft denied Louie Barry a minute later by pushing his effort onto a post.
Town managed to keep the home side at bay until the 74th minute when Conor Grant played through Mo Eisa to lash a shot past Bycroft for number four before Grant notched two goals in the final ten minutes to complete the trouncing, slotting in from Henry Lawrence’s pass on 82 minutes and then being found by Devoy to fire home the sixth two minutes later.
