The club are delighted to confirm the appointment of Connor Sidley-Adams as Head Coach. Sidley-Adams joined the Peacocks as goalkeeping coach in the summer of 2021, having previously played for the club over three season from 2010 onwards. He is a former England schoolboy international and England Schools U18 Boys Goalkeeping Coach.
Speaking about his new appointment, Connor said:” Since coming back to the club two years ago it’s been incredible to see the growth both on and off the pitch and I’m over the moon to be in a position to help the club push on even further. Behind the scenes the club are extremely fortunate to have a fantastic group of players who put their all into everything we do on the pitch and I’m fortunate to have an amazing opportunity to create an environment to help them to thrive. I’m really excited to see what this fantastic group can achieve after two incredible seasons. I’m equally excited to see Lloyd grow into his new role off of the pitch as part of the management team, he was pivotal in supporting Jack Bycroft last year and his knowledge after many years in the league is invaluable to the next group of goalkeepers coming through at the club.”
Head of Football Rob Dray remarked:” Giving Connor the head coaches’ role was a really easy decision. His delivery, knowledge and understanding are outstanding, his relationship with the players is excellent, and all in all it’s a perfect fit since he has been with us. He has enhanced the club’s and his own reputation with his calm style and professional application, and he has plenty more to come and I for one learn from him on a regular basis.”
