Taunton Town FC travel to Buckinghamshire tomorrow as we face Marlow Town in the Southern Premier Division South in what is looking like a dry but partly cloudy day.
Last time these two teams met in September 2024, Taunton came out as 5-2 winners with Owen Brain, Alfie Moulden, Tom Smith (2) and Tom Purrington getting on the scoresheet for the Peacocks whereas Oladunjoye and Hoath scored second half goals for Marlow.
Taunton currently sit in 8th whilst Marlow sit 22nd in the league.
Ahead of the game, Richard Luffman stated;
“We’re really thin on the ground tomorrow, it’s been a tough few weeks on that front, we’ve lost Jayden, Latrell, Rice and Dewsbury has been recalled and that’s made us feel really thin on the ground. Luckily we’ve added a real top player in Bailey Croome but it’s been a troublesome few weeks injury wise and we know that we’ll have to be right at it tomorrow.
Marlow have been a difficult game for most this season, and it’s a tough place to go. We’ve seen that with Merthyr and Gosport limping over the line to win, so we’re taking nothing for granted at all.
We’ll go there with respect for them, and the team they have but we know that anything other than a win would be perceived as a poor result.”
