The Peacocks opened their pre-season schedule of friendlies with a 4-2 win at Clevedon Town this evening (9th July).
Gethyn Hill put Town ahead with a penalty on 12 minutes following a handball and new striker Jared Lewington then dispossessed the home keeper to add a second a minute later. Lewington converted crosses from Dan Sullivan and Hill to add further goals after 21 and 23 minutes to notch his hat trick before Morgan Williams reduced the arrears on 26 minutes. Hill fired against the woodwork after the break, but it was the hosts who scored again through Glenn Hayer after 74 minutes in a second half punctuated by numerous substitutions.
