Taunton’s unbeaten seven game run in the Southern League Premier South was brought to an abrupt end with a 5-1 defeat at AFC Totton this evening

The Peacocks were well in the game at the break, only trailing by a single goal scored after 15 minutes when Tony Lee steered in a cross from Dec Rose, before a three goal blitz inside eight second half minutes killed Town hopes. Ethan Taylor spectacularly volleyed in a corner from Tom Blair after 50 minutes before Taylor added a third four minutes later following some unconvincing defending and when Sam Magri headed home a fourth after 57 minutes it was game over. Ollie Woodhouse reduced the deficit after 73 minutes, slotting in the loose ball after Alfie Moulden’s shot had been parried before Totton scored their final goal through Ashley Clarke nine minutes from time to round off a conclusive victory.
