We are delighted to announce that Nick Grimes has now agreed terms to remain with the club for the 2020-21 season.
The 22 year old centre half has been on trial with Bristol Rovers during the summer but has now signed for the Peacocks and was back in action in Tuesday’s friendly win at Tavistock. He joined Town last August from Tiverton Town, having begun his career at Exeter City before moving on to play for Slimbridge, Cinderford Town and Truro City.
Grimes told tauntontown.com:” I’m really pleased to be back at Taunton. It’s a great club with great people throughout! Really looking forward to getting back with the boys and getting going. Seeing the work the management team have put in during the off-season makes me really excited about what the season could bring, and I can’t wait to get back to work.”
Head of Football Rob Dray added:” The signing of Grimesy is another massive coup for us as a club. I firmly believe he will go onto higher levels in time, his attitude as always is nailed on and similar to the rest of our signings, his character in and around the club is first class so it’s great to have him back on board.”
