The Peacocks earnt another creditable point on the road with a 0-0 draw at Braintree Town in the Vanarama National League South this evening. It was a decent result for Town against the Essex play-off participants, but it could have been even better with Taunton missing a penalty after just ten minutes, Nat Jarvis being brought down by Braintree keeper Jack Sims who made amends by saving Ross Stearn’s spot kick. Peacocks’ keeper Dan Lavercombe made several fine saves as the game ended in stalemate, keeping Town in 22nd place as they now prepare for Thursday’s home match with Slough Town when a win is now even more vital.
