The Peacocks wound up their final training session before the summer break with a behind closed doors game against an Exeter City XI at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium yesterday evening (29th April)
The match, played in three 30 minute spells, saw Gethyn Hill head Town in front after 31 minutes from Dan Sullivan’s cross before Hill was denied a second by Jack Arthur’s fine save. Charlie Hanson equalised from close range on 84 minutes and the visitors looked to have sneaked the win when Will Dean fired home a free kick three minutes from time. However captain Nick Grimes forced the ball home two minutes into stoppage time to leave it 2-2 at the close.
