It proved a disappointing day for the Peacocks after they lost 2-0 at Eastbourne Borough this afternoon. Hoping to continue their recent upturn in form following two successive victories, it never worked out that way for Town. Nat Jarvis hit the post for the Peacocks whilst Jack Clarke did likewise for the hosts during the first half which ended with Borough grabbing the lead three minutes before the break when David Sesay curled a strike past stand-in keeper Lloyd Irish. Town threatened little in the second half and it was Eastbourne who put gloss on the scoreline three minutes into stoppage time, Yahya Bamba sprinting clear from halfway to slot home to secure the points.
