Match Report
Despite the absence of several players the Peacocks maintained their unbeaten record in pre season friendlies.
The home side had the first real chance after three minutes but Alex Cairo’s shot went wide. Taunton had a chance of their own after nine minutes when a Nick Grimes header was well saved by long serving home keeper Josh Oak.
The visitors took the lead after 31 minutes when a through ball by skipper Dan Sullivan, playing against his old side, was tucked away by Luke Spokes.
Tavistock equalized four minutes into the second half when Jack Crago converted a penalty having been brought down by Taunton keeper Lloyd Irish.
Five minutes later Jake Mawford came on as a substitute and he wasted little time in making an impression, setting up Spokes for a cross which was headed in by Owen Howe, who also netted twice at Bitton last Friday. Howe had put a shot wide just a minute earlier.
The game was secured five minutes from time when Dan Sullivan latched on to a Spokes pass and found the net.
