The Peacocks have further strengthened their squad ahead of the Southern League campaign as we welcome Eddie Jones to the club.
The defender made his first appearance for Taunton in yesterday evening’s friendly at Cribbs and will add a wealth of experience to the backline, having spent the past eight years at National League level with Solihull Moors, Oxford City, Bath City and latterly Chippenham Town for the past two seasons.
Manager Richard Luffman commented:” Eddie has a top pedigree in the game and on top of his undoubted footballing ability he will provide us with leadership and discipline. We have some top young players at the club, but we are a little short in terms of talkers and leaders, which is obvious with a very young group. Signing Eddie was something we felt would give us a lift in that area and he’s a solid and proven player at this level and above.”
