Midfielder and former Cribbs F.C captain, Jake Hodgson, becomes Taunton Town F.C’s 6th signing of the summer.
Jake had been with Cribbs for 10 years, making 293 appearances and scoring 59 goals in the process. After his long spell with the Bristol-based side, Jake will be making the step up to the Southern League Premier South with his former manager, Richard Luffman.
Jake told club media:” I’m really excited to sign for one of the biggest football clubs in the area and make this step up in my career. I cannot wait to pull on this shirt, play for this badge and get stuck into the season in front of one of the best fanbases in the South West.”
Taunton manager Richard Luffman is delighted to secure another one of his targets, saying:” Jake was my captain at my previous club and someone with whom I trust completely. His ability is as good as anyone I’ve worked with, great for the dressing room, brilliant in both boxes, 6ft 4 and never loses a header. A player who should have been playing much higher a long time ago. A real servant to cribbs and someone who will flourish with brilliant players around him. Judge Jake when he’s played 10 games, you’ll all appreciate him as much as I do.”
