The Peacocks concluded their two year stay in the Vanarama National League South with 0-0 draw against Hemel Hempstead Town at Wordsworth Drive this afternoon. With relegation having been confirmed for Town two days earlier, the game became a dead rubber and that translated into a tedious 90 minutes on the pitch with the visitors having the best of the few chances that arose. Keeper Dan Lavercombe made several good saves whilst his opposite number Craig King enjoyed a quiet afternoon. With Dartford beating Truro City, the Peacocks finished the campaign in 22nd place as they now contemplate life back in the Southern Premier next season.
