It’s the final game of the 2023-24 campaign for the Peacocks tomorrow (20th April) when they welcome Hemel Hempstead Town to Wordsworth Drive, ko 3.00pm.

The game also marks the end of their two year stay in the Vanarama National League South after relegation was sealed by yesterday evening’s defeat to Weston-super-Mare to cap a dreadful season on and off the pitch. There will only be pride to play for then against the Tudors who themselves were in danger of going down until Town lost out to Weston’s late goal. Hemel lie in 19th place, level on points with 20th placed Eastbourne Borough but with a four point gap between those two and the Peacocks, the 90 minutes tomorrow are academic in terms of the table. However, after such a manic schedule of games in recent weeks, Town will be keen to sign off with a positive result in front of their own fans.

The Football Fun Factory will be in attendance at tomorrow’s game while Taunton Youth FC will be conducting their end of season presentations on the pitch before the game and at half time. It would therefore be great to see as many Peacock fans there as possible as we say what will hopefully be a temporary goodbye to the National League.

Admission is also payable by card or cash at the turnstile, priced at £14 for Adults, £11 for Concessions (state pensioners & Students with ID), £5 for Youth (13-18 years), £2 for Juniors (6-12 years). Children aged under 6 are free with paying adult.
