The Peacocks’ relegation from the Vanarama National League South was confirmed this evening following their 1-0 defeat to Weston-super-Mare at Wordsworth Drive. Despite having plenty of attacking possession a failure to find the net cost Town dear and they were made to pay when Weston snatched the only goal of the game seven minutes from time when Robbie Willmott put Marlon Jackson clear to slot home past Lloyd Irish. This is the first time the club have suffered relegation in their 77 year history as they now return to the Southern League for the 2024-25 season.
