The vital goal came after 33 minutes when a Lloyd James corner was headed home from close range by Cameron Evans, with Town then defending heroically for lengthy spells to preserve their lead. Peacocks’ substitute Ben Acey was sent off during stoppage time after receiving two quickfire yellow cards but his side hung on to set up a dramatic final week of the season starting with the visit of Torquay United to Wordsworth Drive on Tuesday evening.
