Despite a battling performance, the Peacocks were beaten 1-0 by Vanarama National League South leaders Yeovil Town at Wordsworth Drive this evening. In a game of limited chances, neither side managed to seriously test the opposition keeper in a goalless first half before the Glovers grabbed what proved to be the winner five minutes after the break, Frank Nouble put clear by Matt Worthington to fire home from the left side of the box. Rhys Murphy then saw his 20 yard volley tipped onto the bar by Peacocks’ keeper Dan Lavercombe while the hosts’ only real opportunity came with a diving header wide of the target from Louie Slough during the final ten minutes.
