The Peacocks face another tricky game on the road when they travel to Weymouth in the Vanarama National League South tomorrow evening (15th August), k0 7.45pm.
Two chalk and cheese performances have made it a mixed start to the new season for Town, with Saturday’s unexpectedly decisive defeat at Aveley coming in complete contrast to the opening day success over Braintree. Weymouth will provide another big test tomorrow on home turf where they registered their first win of the campaign on Saturday courtesy of new signing Joel Rollinson’s goal against Dartford which followed an opening day 2-1 defeat at St Albans City. Having escaped relegation on the final day of last season by winning at Dover, manager Bobby Wilkinson has reshaped the Terras squad with a swathe of new signings. Apart from Rollinson joining from Hungerford Town, other new additions include centre half Anthony Cheshire from Bracknell Town, left back Leo Hamblin from Carshalton Athletic, forward Dan Roberts from Dartford and the return of talismanic striker Brandon Goodship for a third spell at the club.
Lee Lucas is back in the Peacocks’ squad after missing the first two games of the season. Head of Football Rob Dray wants a reaction from the disappointing result in Essex at the weekend, saying: “ We were nowhere near where we needed to be on Saturday and we all know that. This group are better than that and tomorrow we have a chance to put that result behind us and perform to the levels we are capable of.”

Ahkeem Rose and Bradley Ash gave the visitors a two goal lead before Dylan Morgan reduced the deficit. However a third goal after the break from Tom Bearwish saw Weymouth home.
