The Peacocks suffered their second home defeat of the Vanarama National League South season with a 2-0 loss to Farnborough at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium this evening. Overall it was a poor performance from the hosts although they did come the closest to scoring in a goalless first half when a Nat Jarvis header hit the top of the crossbar. The visitors broke the deadlock after 54 minutes when Harry Parsons netted at the near post from a right wing cross before the Peacocks found the woodwork again, Borough keeper Jack Turner pushing Ross Stearn’s shot onto a post. The points were sealed when Parsons scored his second goal of the night on 76 minutes, drilling home into the far corner after Selim Saied’s effort had been cleared off the line, to secure the League double for the visitors.
